Earlier this month, 600+ Vectorworks users from 18 countries met in sunny Arizona for three days of indispensable workshops, inspired design, and improved connections. Attendees had access to 90 hours of training, including AIA and ASLA CEU credits.

Once again, Spotlight proved to be a time saver and collaboration facilitator. Isak Gabre, the former systems and project manager at the Royal Swedish Opera, recently used our software to create a gothic video projection to coincide with the opening of Dracula at the opera house. The team at PWP Landscape Architecture, a 35-year-old landscape architecture firm led by Peter Walker, began their recent work in Sydney in 2009 when they were selected to lead the public domain strategy for Barangaroo, a globally significant, 22-hectare waterfront renewal project along Sydney Harbor. In 2015, Barangaroo Reserve was the first phase in the three-district master plan to open, with Barangaroo South and Central to follow. The Reserve project re-creates “Millers Point” headland in its original location by transforming a concrete container port into a six-hectare naturalistic park with over 75,000 plantings native to the Sydney region.

Improvements Include Updates to Improve macOS Mojave Compatibility We have released the first Service Pack (SP1) for the Vectorworks 2019 product line. Among a number of enhancements, Vectorworks 2019 SP1 fixes two major bugs introduced with Apple’s recent release of macOS Mojave. 

Slavin Architects, a nine-person architecture firm in North Fremantle, Western Australia, has a wide portfolio including heritage, civil, commercial, education, and residential design projects. Recently, they were tasked with the Mediterranean Shipping Company heritage project, which involved the renovation of the 100-year-old Wilhelmsen House and the transformation of an adjacent carpark into The Annex, which together create a space to accommodate the company’s new Australia and New Zealand Headquarters.

“Pop-Up” architecture allows architects to get creative with inventive materials. 5468796 Architecture, a Winnipeg-based architecture firm, is a team of progressive design enthusiasts that jumped at the opportunity to create a temporary structure with local design team Factor Eficiencia for Mexico City’s MEXTRÓPOLI City Architecture Festival in March, 2017.
